Mannheim Castle with the largest Baroque castle grounds in Germany; you can experience 250 years of technical and social change at the State Museum for Technology and Work with its continuously changing exhibitions; the City Art Gallery is home to changing exhibitions featuring sculptures and paintings by illustrious artists while the Planetarium presents a breathtaking multivision show; the National Theatre attracts music lovers with classical music performances and modern music concerts through to high-class opera. Culture devotees dreams come to life here.

The Maimarkt grounds are also naturally very well-known. The May Market, probably the largest consumer market in Germany, attracts thousands of visitors every year from all over Germany. Music and other events round off the colourful programme at this venue. However, Mannheim is not only renowned for its numerous cultural attractions, but also for its wide range of leisure facilities. Visitors can enjoy nature during a stroll through Luisen Park, one of the most beautiful parks in Europe, Herzogenried Park or the park laid out in the Art Nouveau style around the Water Tower. In just a few minutes you will reach, for example, the Baden Castle Route (badische Bergstrasse) or Heidelberg with its famous castle, Old Bridge and historical old quarter.

The numerous restaurants, cafés and pubs in Mannheim will help you relax in the evening after a stressful day at work. The large number of sports facilities cater for every taste: from golf courses and tennis courts through to saunas and adventure pools.
