Sightseeing LeipzigAs a hot tip for the summer months for us its clear to visit the Leipziger Neuseenland not far from Leipzig. Prospective the Leipziger Neuseenland will be with 70km² one of the biggest lake-plateaus of Germany. Where past the brown coal industry impressed the landscape there are arranged attractive leisure- and relaxing landscapes today. The Neuseenland route show a more than 600 years coal mining history and include 19 lakes. Manifold active- and trend sport- offers like wild water rafting, sailing, wake boarding, kite surfing, dipping and climbing afford adventure intensive hours. The most modern wild water route of European at the Markkleeberger Lake is only an example for it. Furthermore the BELANTIS leisure park Leipzig promises a lot of fun not far from the Cospudener Lake. The amusement park abducts its guests into past ages and make child’s eyes shine with its fascinating shows and attractions. A new highlight is the roller coaster HURACAN. Free-fall off a tower with high-rise-building format and 5 loops in 90 seconds. A romantic carriage tour or comfortable round trips on the lakes with the motor ship offer changeful hours for young and old people. The combination with the cultural highlights in the city Leipzig is making the stay of the guests really amazing in the Leipziger Neuseenland.

There are many culture and travel tips. Gladly we would like to introduce two sights shortly.

The Völkerschlachtdenkmal is reminiscent of the first big massive battle of the history of humanity. More than half a million soldiers out of almost whole Europe stood face to face on the battle fields of Leipzig in October 1813. The Völkerschlachtdenkmal was build in 1898 to 1913 and on 18th October 1913 dedicated festive. A big jubilee is planned in the year 2013.

Tips for an adventurous evening in Leipzig city are various. The Barfußgäßchen is placed accurate in the city of Leipzig. Close by there are laying historical buildings out of the Renaissance-, Baroque-, and the wilhelminian style with pictorial skews and winding alleys. Also there is to find the ‘Drallewatsch’ a popular vesper time destination. The Barfußgäßchen is a part of the Drallewatsch – here you will find a variety – from the bourgeois restaurant up to the scene pub. At a warm summer evening the many outdoor-seating-facilities offer the perfect opportunity to end a day in Leipzig comfortable.

We are looking forward to welcome you.
